Pools of medicinal mud and lye are situated in the southern part of Atansovsko Lake and are the biggest free outdoor SPA center in Bulgaria. The place is known to all citizens of Burgas and to an increasing number of visitors to the city in recent years. Mud and lye extraction is carried out in an environmentally friendly manner and does not harm the lake inhabitants. Black mud is proven to relieve and treat various diseases.
