Beglik Tash Thracian sanctuary lies in the highest point of Cape Beglik Tash (128 m altitude) near Primorsko. It covers an area of 6 acres. It is located in a forest area that was part of the hunting lodge of the former communist head of state Todor Zhivkov (ruled 1954 – 1989). This is precisely why one of the greatest discoveries for the Thracian history of the Southern Black Sea Coast and Strandzha remained unknown until 2003.
